"I like it," Spring said.
"It's perfect!" Fall agreed.
"It looks like a dream I once had," said Summer.
"Exactly the place we're looking for," Winter told them. "Let's build ourselves houses and stay."
The Four Seasons got to work right away, they took apart their sailing ship and used all the pieces to build themselves houses. They started that morning and when it was night the first of the houses was done. They finished the second the following day and they built the third on the day after that. Which was all very well except for one thing: they'd used up all of their sailing ship on the first three houses, and when it came time to build the fourth house, there was nothing at all left to use.
For a moment they didn't know what to do. There weren't enough houses to go around, but it didn't seem fair for one of the four to be left all alone with no place to live. So they all sat down and they thought and they thought until finally Fall had a good idea.
"Why don't we all just take turns," he proposed.
Everyone thought that would work very well and they decided that Winter and Summer and Fall could each have a house to start. Then Spring would be free to walk all around and see what was what and what wasn't. And when she was done she would call the Windman and Whoooosh! the Windman would come. Then he'd blow Spring back to Summer's house so Spring and Summer could switch around.
